Situated very near to Alicante, and right next to the Playa de San Juan, Golf Bonalba Mutxamel course offers sensational views of the sea and a perfectclimate to enjoy a game at any time of year. With 18 holes and a par of 72, this is an excellent course built on gentle ridges, with wide fairways, undulating greens and strategically located lakes. The complicated design makes Golf Bonalba Mutxamel an interesting and fun challenge for the golfer and the variety in the holes means there is never a dull moment. The vegetation is typically Mediterranean and there are plenty of palms and pine trees. The wonderful location in the coast of Alicante means there is no shortage of accommodation.
Golf Bonalba Mutxamel is an established tournament venue of considerable repute, having hosted regional events, Spanish national competitions and the budding stars of the European Challenge Tour. Measuring 6,973 yards from the championship tee boxes, the course can be viewed as two distinct nine hole loops; the opening half is probably the more forgiving - although there are water hazards to be avoided, sound strategy and accurate driving should yield birdie chances. The closing stretch however is more exacting, particularly the final three holes, which are more exposed to the coastal winds and demand powerful and precise ball-striking. Despite only opening for play in 1995, Bonalba is already seen as one of the premier clubs on the Costa Blanca, and any golfing getaway in the Alicante area should certainly include a visit here.

Easily accessible just north of Alicante, the Bonalba golf course is in one of the newer residential areas of Alicante and has plenty to offer to visitors, including golf classes for children.
