Albir has many fantastic restaurants catering for all tastes Only 3kms away is the pretty Spanish town of Altea with the church and square which has nightly markets in high summer. You can then stroll down the winding cobbled streets to Altea seafront and have a drink in one of the many bars and watch the crowds go by.

For those who like a lively night with an abundance of entertainment Benidorm is only 5kms away. You can catch a bus which is just 2 mins walk from the studio that takes you right into the centre during the summer months buses run into the early hours.

Other places and attractions nearby and worth a visit are Terra Mittica, Aqualand, Mundamar, Guadaleste, Calpe and The Fonts of Algar.

Just outside Albir on the Benidorm road is the Castillo del Conde de Alfaz.

This is a rather spectacular Albir venue for the whole family to enjoy as they are entertained by the medieval knights showing off their impressive skills of horsemanship and jousting. The ticket price is inclusive of a medieval supper and also remember a visit to the mad monks dungeons. Then if you're still not ready to go home, you can dance the night away with the disco afterwards that goes right on into the small hours. There are several fiestas taking place in Albir throughout the year. March 19th see's the locals celebrating the feast of San Jose while the first weekend of August stages parades and street dancing with fiestas on the beach. One of the largest events of the year is the Feast of Holy Christ, with music, processions and fireworks held between the 7th & 10th November each year.

Albir is a bustling community of apartment blocks and villas with several large supermarkets. New Albir is the area designated to accomodate the modern apartment blocks and is situated on the lower part. The Rio Seco riverbed divides this area into north and south. The riverbed forms a boulevard along which you can walk to the beach.  Albir has its own golf driving course with a small corner for putting practice. You may hire or bring your own clubs. Cricket matches are also held here. Albir also has its own bowling and you are spoilt for choice when it comes to restaurants and bars. Albir has a high international population particularly British and Dutch. Many restaurants serve paella, the famous rice dish originating in the Valencia area.
