Frankie arrived on the Costa Blanca in 2005 from West Yorkshire and has become one of the coasts most versatile performers.
Formally trained at one of the UK's music colleges , he spent the early part of his life playing classical music but he soon found he enjoyed playing popular music even more.
A career with Roland took him all over the UK as a demonstrator of the company’s vast range of keyboards, so you can well imagine that his keyboard it top of the range.
Frankie sings songs from 60’s and 70’s predominately including some good old rock and roll, ballads and music from the charts. He is also a member of London Pride, cockney band and occasionally joins All That Jazz playing traditional jazz.
This extremely popular entertainer is well suited for any type of venue or function.
He sings a variety of songs from the fifties to the nineties. For his
last set he does visual comedy i.e. Elvis, Tina Turner, Bob Marley wigs
just lighten things up.
He is originally from Port Talbot. South Wales. he moved to Spain in 2000 with the aim to entertain

Barrington is a superb vocalist and well respected in the
entertainment field, his professional approach is very much appreciated

Peter Day and Fiona McLean are two solo artists who sing

Fiona McLean has an incredibly versatile voice. She has been singing

from the 60s to the 80s in a diverse repertoire which contains songs
made famous by Dusty Springfield, Connie Francis, Brenda Lee, Abba,

Doris Day, Petula Clark, Country and big band greats plus many more.
Peter Day had an album released called “Edge of Reality” in 2000
(still on sale internationally). He has performed in clubs across the UK
and internationally, including Hawaii with the late Don Ho, USA,
Ireland and Spain. Peter’s unique act incorporates music made famous by
such greats as Elvis, Cliff Richard, Guy Mitchell, Buddy Holly, Billy
Fury, Eden Kane, Rick Nelson, Eddie Cochran, Bobby Darin, John Leyton,

Toni and Brian met in the NE of England in 1986. In 1988 the duo
was formed and they began working the Northern Club circuit as ‘Summer
Rose’ a combination of their surnames. They performed at several
Command Shows which led to Cruising Worldwide plus appearances at major
UK venues as well as summer seasons in Blackpool and the Costa Brava
and winter seasons in Tenerife, Gran Canaria and Dubai. Over the years
they supported many top British entertainers including: Vince Hill,
George Roper, Bernard Manning, The Glitter Band, Orville & Keith
Harris, Roy Walker and Frank Carson in Tenerife.
April
2001 they made the move to the Costa Blanca. On arriving they soon
discovered that “your reputation does not go before you” and have to go
knocking on doors. It didn’t take long before they were working and
building their reputation. So here they are now at The Hillside Social Club. Come and enjoy.
HOT ICE are one of the easiest to listen to duos around. They bring to the table an enormous selection of songs covering rock and roll, disco, ballads, country, classic hits as well as middle of the road and easy listening songs. We personally went to see Hot Ice last night (Friday 22nd January 2010) with friends for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. We completely agree with the above write-up. Very talented musicians/singers that played a good variety of songs to suit all tastes. The dance floor was full and everybody had a good evening at Hillside Sports Centre on La Marina urbanisation. They entertained from 9.30 pm right through the evening, without a break until 12.30 pm. We would
definitely go and see Hot Ice next time they are appearing anywhere on the Costa Blanca.

A bubbly and lively performer who always entertains audiences of all ages. An ever adaptable performer Shirelle has her own Karaoke Show ‘Sunshine Karaoke’ with a 32,000 song book.
Shirelle is a professional Vocal Entertainer/Saxophonist and has entertained on cruise ships around the Caribbean and Europe. She has sung in countless clubs and venues in the UK (not quite as glamourous) from as far and wide as Penrith to Port Madoch. Shirelle, born in Scotland, but lived in Manchester for many years where she worked with big names such as ‘Jimmy James and The Vagabonds’, ‘The Darts’, ‘The New Drifters’ to name but a few before moving to the Costa
Blanca.
Shirelle is an exceptionally talented young lady with a ‘big voice’ and performs ballads such as Love is all, When you tell me that you love me’, You’re my world, effortlessly. Her repertoire includes Rock, Pop, 60’s - 90’s and everything in between. Shirelle is a sparkling all round entertainer who plays the alto saxophone and will excite audiences with her unique renditions of Baker Street, Moving on up, Mustang Sally/Midnight Hour, Summertime etc.
We
went to see Shirelle for the first time at the Hillside Sports Centre on La
Marina urbanisation last Friday (29th January 2010), and had a fantastic
evening.
Shirelle is most definitely one of the best female artistes
that I have seen. Not only does she have the most amazing voice and sings a
great variety of songs, of which the audience participation was really good when
she did a spot of **The Good-old Sing-a-long songs**, she is also an excellent
Saxophone player - what a unique entertainer. I, personally, love to hear the
saxophone being played so professionally.
A very good night was had by
all at the Hillside Sports Centre on Friday and the floor was packed with people
enjoying dancing to Shirelle.
Well done Hillside on finding Shirelle and
the week before Hot Ice. Hillside have some more new Acts appearing each Friday
evening, so why not come along ??

Elvis fans as Rupert glides effortlessly through a repertoire of songs
from the 50’s up until the death of Elvis in the mid seventies. This

tributes to Tina Turner ever witnessed.
Not only does our
star bear more than a
passing resemblance of Tina, but sings just like her and struts her
stuff in Tina’s own inimitable style. You’ll hear all the favourite

Rounding off the evening’s show, Rupert
makes his final appearance immaculately dressed in 50’s attire to rock
the night away with songs by Bill Haley, Eddie Cochran, Chuck Berry,

with so many hits from the past all designed for dancing.
Mick came to Spain 6 years ago and has worked constantly either as a solo artiste or in bands.
His solo work sees two totally different sides of him. He has created a laid back programme ideally suited for restaurants or lounges playing great classics by the Eagles, James Taylor or Chris Rhea. Not an overpowering performance which suits diners. Then we have Mick Manion, the rocker. Especially designed for venues that have an audience where his superb guitar playing excites and gets the blood rushing. His voice resembles Joe Cocker and has a sensual
appeal.
Mick is one of the few guitarists who actually plays his guitar throughout every song, not just a strummer.
He was the founder guitarist in the Cut Loose Band and was with PDQ for almost two years, both well respected bands locally.

The successful progression of the Cabaret Clubs in the North West of England gave Tony the opportunity to appear on the same bill as Tommy
Cooper, Dave Allen, Dusty Springfield and Freddie Starr in such great venues as Batley Variety Club, The Golden Garter, Lakeside, Poco-a-Poco and many more. A spell on the Princess cruise liners led to international work and experience.

Answer: They all
hired Lenny Mitchell to join their bands & play lead guitar for them
on tours, recording sessions, radio & TV appearances. So can

Lenny Mitchell taught himself to play guitar in London playing his
first gigs in pubs up & down the Old Kent Road. In 1975, as lead
guitarist & harmony singer on a 7 month European tour, he returned
as a seasoned professional still only 16 years old! Thirty years of
extensive sessions & countless gigs led to retirement in rural
France, & building his own studio for recording his own songs. But
in true wandering minstrel fashion, another relocation to Spain, sees
him treading the boards once again, this time as a solo act
Lenny can be seen anywhere along the costas, from Mazaron to Torrevieja.
Mary and I , moved to Spain almost 9 years ago from Inverness in the Scottish Highlands. We
formed Eternal Affair 30 years ago ,and after several years playing the
local club circuit,we realised there was a gap in the market catering
for dances. Many of the smaller functions, could'nt afford the cost
of employing a 4 or 5 piece band and thanks to the technology of modern
keyboards with full accompaniment, we were able to fill this gap. Given
the age group of the majority of ex pats here (ourselves included) we
have built up a repertoire that covers the 1950's up to present day. We are also able to play strict tempo including quicksteps, foxtrots, Latin American etc .

We are joined by our friend Bill O' Brien who also sings, plays lead
guitar and is a great harmony vocalist.
Greg started playing guitar at 16 and joined his first band at 19.
He spent a few years on the Essex pub scene playing covers. After a
change of band members they became “ The Idle Fools”. Writing their own
music under the guidance of Neil Harrison (Producer of Cliff Richard
and Cockney Rebel). After recording a demo CD for beggars banquet
record label the band went on to play at some great venues like the
rock garden in Covent garden and the cartoon at Croydon and some
festivals around the Essex area.
After 2 years of this they had no luck in being signed up and
decided to go back to playing the pubs and clubs as a covers band again
and changed their name to “The Last Resort”. The band had a very good
couple of years doing this and got the chance to play at the Circus
Tavern Supporting Jimmy Jones.
They went on to do a lot of gigs there playing with people like Mike
Reid, Joe Pasquale, Duncan Norvelle, Billy Pearce and the best one of
all for Greg was when they supported Slade. Sadly the band split when
the drummer went off to do his English degree. Greg moved out to Spain
in March 2004 and has been singing around the Quesada area but is now
spreading his wings and appearing at venues across the whole of the
Costa Blanca.

Mr Bojangles
is a good all round entertainer who covers such artistes as Frank Sinartra, Dean Martin, Drifters, Tommy Steele, and many more He lives out here on the Costa Blanca and is available for bars, restaurants and private functions.
Mike has been living and working in this area for several
years, performing at various venues mostly in Torrevieja, La Marina and Gran
Alacant.
His repertoire covers a wide range from Elvis Presley, Roy
Orbison and Chuck Berry, through to the Beatles and Rolling Stones and other
favourite sounds of the 60's, 70's and 80's. He also covers more modern
artists, such as Robbie Williams and Ronan Keating. Country Classics, Irish
folk songs, and romantic ballads are a speciality.

Carlita, a dynamic female vocalist
who has been working on the Costa Blanca for a little over two years,
during which time she has performed at many hotels and venues including
the Ambassador Playa Hotel, the Cumberland Bar, the Clansman, Villasol
and the Two Seals to name but a few.
Whilst she is predominantly over here in Benidorm she still makes the
trip back to the UK frequently to perform by popular demand at many
Holiday Camps, Clubs and Army functions and also as a vocalist with the
Grenadier Guards Dance Band.
Her repertoire is varied as you will hear songs from the 1960’s to
present day by recording artists such as Alison Moyet, Tom Jones, The
Drifters and Bette Midler as the show goes on.
Carlita began singing professionally way back in 1995 when she was
with a Nottingham based group before deciding to go it alone as a solo
artiste. The guy who first spotted Carlita back in the UK was Tony
Barry of Global Entertainments who gave her the break she needed and
she has never looked back. Every weekend she was travelling the length
and breadth of the country to gigs and still does when over there.

The band has recently reformed and is now under the musical direction
of alto saxophonist, Gloria Grimshaw. Although many of the band once played professionally, most but not all of the band are of retirement age, and they mostly do it for the fun of it, almost always for charitable causes. They are available for concerts, functions, dinner dances, parties and for charity performances.

The line up may come and go but one thing that hasn’t changed is

Phil Shaper
Phil began playing his guitar and singing as a teenager in the hey day of the 70’s rock bands and great acoustic artistes of those times.
Within a few years he had progressed to gigging as a solo artiste and in eclectic live bands with friends. As time moved on he emulated the Beatles and ended up in Hamburg and Berlin playing in and around the vibrant music scenes there for many years.
Back in London, Phil formed more bands and found himself working in recording studios.
Moving to Spain, Phil worked for several seasons in a duo called the V.I.P’s. When the duo split up, he decided to go solo now free to choose his own repertoire allowing him to decide which songs suit the audience to either let them listen to his great guitar work, vocals and even playing a harmonica.
His repertoire consists of countless hit classics, ballads, rock and roll, blues and standards that no audience would go away happy without hearing.

In 2001 Lucinda became a hopeful to be the nations next ‘Pop Idol’, as she reached the final 50 performing alongside Will Young and Gareth Gates beating over 70,000 hopefuls in the popular ITV series. As the anniversary of 911 approached Lucinda was approached by the FSNBF and asked to represent them as the official ‘Fighters Sweetheart’ this enormous honour had Lucinda representing the fire fighters in Saint Paul’s Cathedral and singing live on all major news channels on Fire Fighters
Day Of Remembrance Lucinda arrived in Spain in 2003 moving to Puerto De Mazarron to be with her parents, she soon became a popular name on the Costa Calida headlining fiestas and it was there that she met 60’s star Don Fardon who asked her sing the title track on a multi artist CD in aid of the orphaned Zulu children of Gods Golden Acre in South Africa, this led to Lucinda to move back to the Uk to promote the CD around the country. In September 2008 Lucinda made the decision to move back to Spain but this
time to the Costa Blanca where she is currently performing as a solo artist singing a wide range of music or performing her fantastic multi costumed Shania Twain Tribute show, she is also a member of outstanding 7 piece band ‘Black Night’ formerly known as Reckless with whom she perfors at venues and fiestas throughout 2010.
Well what can we say about Josefina. She is a very talented and much loved artist who sings in quite a few different languages . She sings a very wide selection of songs and the children absolutely Adore her. As well as singing, she is out on the dance floor with the children making sure that they have a good time - and they always do with Josefina teaching them some simple dance steps !!
He often appears
here on the Costa Blanca to very packed Venues, and recently made a
surprise appearance at The Bachelors Show at The Asturius Restaurante
to present Con and Dec with a
Plaque, commemorating their two Gold Albums in 2008. Ricky even sang
Tell Laura I love you accompanied by the Bachelors, who had not had any
time to rehearse this number, but it went down extremely well with the
audience
of some 500 people.

THE SLAM BLUES BAND are one
of the most energetic original blues bands currently appearing on the
Costa del Sol live music circuit. Chas Burnett along with Matt Green
& Chris James bring together a wealth of experience from years of
working in different areas of the entertainment business, but come
together collectively to produce a great tight sound, and varied
repertoire of their own original songs intermingled with classic blues
tracks, based on the traditional Chicago style blues. For personal
reasons they have recently re-named the band. Their first CD has just
been released with 12 original tracks written by Chas.
Over the past two years they have been building up a following around
Andalucia, with live concerts at Blues venues and festivals, proving
popular with all different nationalities. Their stage performance is
suitable for small club or large concert venues.
The release of their first CD 'Blues It Up!' has from the UK written
blues press been well received and various radio stations around the
world have been playing tracks. It has also been picked up by internet
and blues shows in other parts of Europe and the US
